Arash Kia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves as the Director of Clinical Data Science at Mount Sinai Health System. He leads efforts to integrate advanced machine learning into clinical practice, focusing on AI-driven innovations that enhance patient outcomes.

Arash's work spans electronic medical record data processing, deep learning, and AI applications in healthcare. Under his leadership, his team developed NutriScan AI, an award-winning tool for detecting malnutrition in hospitalized patients. His research continues to advance AI's role in improving patient safety, risk stratification, and equitable healthcare solutions.
